Dumbarton Castle

Overlooking River Clyde, Dumbarton Castle is located in the capital of Scotland and sits upon a volcanic rock. It in fact has the longest recorded history of any stronghold in Scotland. Queen Elizabeth Forest Park

This was established in 1953 and is one of six such parks in Scotland. It extends from the eastern shores of Loch Lomond to the mountains of Strathyre. There are lots of well sign posted walks through the forest and incredible waterfalls that you will stumble across, along the way.

Loch Lomond Faerie Trail

Find your way along this trail and discover many magical things hidden along the way. While the kids are enjoying themselves, the adults can take in the views down across the rivers and up onto the wonderful hills surrounding Luss and Loch Lomond. A wonderful little adventure, great for all the family.
