This monastery on the Isle of Wight is situated just off the south coast of England and is home to a small group of Benedictine monks who dedicate their lives to the glory of God. There's a lovely walk down to the medieval abbey ruins, some shops and a lovely tea room. There are even pigs that you can feed!
The Needles Batteries are two military batteries built above the Needles stacks to guard the West end of the Solent and opened all the way back in1861. The Needles offer one of the best views in England. Walk along the tunnel right out to the edge of the sea and enjoy the breathtaking views.
Ventnor Beach and town is the ideal place to explore. Although It is mostly shingle, it does have some sandy patches, so don’t forget your bucket and spade! Great for sunbathing, swimming and has the yummiest fish and chips. A very pretty place by the sea, the perfect place to sit and watch the world go by, with an ice cream of course.
